This Privacy Policy describes how CoachesPad ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our iOS/iPadOS application and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). Guest usage of the app does not require an account.

User-Generated Content. We store play diagrams, drawings, annotations, and related data you create within the app. This content is stored locally on your device and, if you choose to sync, in your private Firebase Storage and Firestore instance.

Usage Data. We may collect anonymized, aggregated information about how the app is used (e.g., features accessed, session length) to improve the Service. This data does not identify you personally.

Device Information. We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version to provide support and improve compatibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate your account and sync your data across devices.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To send you important notices about the Service (not marketing, unless you opt in).
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

• Firebase (Google): Our cloud infrastructure provider for authentication, database, and file storage. Data is stored pursuant to Google's terms of service and Firebase's security practices.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or other governmental authority.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your play data is stored locally on your device using Core Data. If you enable cloud sync, data is transmitted to Firebase using TLS encryption in transit and stored with Firebase's security controls at rest. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and synced content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Local device data can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete such information. Coaches who use the app to manage youth team data are responsible for obtaining any required parental consents.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, by in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
